Bags Manufacturing Process
Discover how we transform jute fibers into stylish, colorful jute bags at Vadalo Ventures Pvt. Ltd. Our eco-friendly process prioritizes sustainability, worker safety, and high-quality output.
Key Stages of Jute Bag Production
-
Jute Plant Harvesting
Jute (Corchorus Capsularis) is grown in West Bengal, Bihar, and Assam during the rainy season. Fibers are extracted from the stem and ribbon via retting—stems are bundled and soaked in running water, then hand-stripped. The result is pale yellow, 2-3 meter-long fibers.
-
Jute Yarn and Fabric Weaving
Jute fibers are processed into yarns and woven into fabrics using automatic textile looms, forming the base material for our bags.
-
Lamination
For added durability, we apply lamination via extrusion with virgin plastic granules in gloss or matt finish. This stiffens the fabric while maintaining its raw jute appearance.
-
Printing
We use eco-friendly, Azo-free pigments for fast-color printing. Options include computer-aided digital printing or manual screen printing by skilled workers, matching client shades per the Pantone Color Guide.
-
Cutting
Printed fabrics are layered and cut to size using precision cutting machines, ensuring accurate dimensions for each bag.
-
Stitching
Front, back, and gussets are stitched together with 3-ply cotton thread matching the fabric color, using industrial sewing machines.
-
Handle Attachment
Designated handles are securely fitted to complete the bag structure.
-
Quality Control
After mass production, bags undergo strict quality checks. Our QC team randomly inspects 20-30% of bags against international standards and order specifications.
-
Packing and Shipment
Bags are packed in bulk 7-ply seaworthy cartons or individually poly-packed (extra cost) for added protection. Your forwarder collects them for sea or air shipment as preferred.
We also produce cotton and recycled bags using a similar process, adapting materials and techniques to maintain eco-friendliness.
Our Commitment to Carbon Neutrality
We offset emissions with natural sequestration and verified carbon credits. Our energy-efficient machinery and planned processes cut our carbon footprint, supported by regular tree-planting drives with employees and partners.
Worker Safety and Well-Being
Worker safety is our priority. We enforce mask and glove use, install emergency eye wash stations, and maintain a gender-neutral workplace with equal opportunities. Our canteen offers wholesome meals to all employees.
